How do I get my sick puppy to eats on its own?

I have a teacup chihuahua that has been sick and tends to get hypoglysemic (spelt wrong) and it won't eat on its own, I have to force feed it every 4-5 hours, how can I get her to eat on her own? She drinks water on her own but just won't eat her food, she loves chewing on rawhide but I take it away from her. Any suggestions???
