Do you judge someone's over-all image based upon their parenting skills?

My respect for them as a person and or my willingness to ociate with an individual is based upon how they interact with others and especially how they treat/interact with their children. I still may admire and respect their knowledge/insight on a particular subject. to me though, those basic human values are more important then all the knowledge or how great/fun, whatever. Person they are. We never truly know what happens behind closed doors unfortunately. I have seen many the picture perfect person/family tun out to be total jerks to their kids and spouse and such.
