Does anyone understand why vedic and western zodiacs are so remarkably different?

Vedic astrology is practically obsolete. Western astrology is far more common and understandable. Just ask yourself this question: on any given day, do you speak English or Hindu more often? If your answer is English, then that should tell you the whole story. Vedic astrology is about as useful as a third world language.
