Why are there art cles to teach you how to drawl?

People worry about practicing their art in cles and making it perfect. But I never see art as perfection, art is to teach you creativity and life. Why must we show skill and perfection, why don't we just show who we are through paintings, drawlings, sculptures, ect.? Not perfection. What do you think?
